On a hiking trip to Bolivia in 2014 I found myself in the old silver mining town of Potasi. At 4,090m above sea level it’s one of the highest cities in the world. It was once the location of the Spanish Colonia Mint and the nearby mountain bears the scars of the years of excavation. But with all this going on around me, it was the doorways that held my fascination. In fact, many of the doorways in the cities across Bolivia had a distinctive style and appearance. Excellent material in fact for a small photographic project.
