Antelope Canyon is one of the most beautiful, natural wonders I have visited. The curves and textures of its sandstone walls are an amazing sight to witness. As light enters the canyon, it bounces off the walls, making them appear to glow red. Why then have I chosen to represent such a colourful scene in black and white? It’s because I wanted to emphasise the shape, texture and form of the rock. Whilst the colours are spectacular, the can overwhelm the scene and image. All the photographs in this gallery were taken in Lower Antelope Canyon. Please click the thumbnail images below to view the photographs. Many of the thumbnails have been cropped.
