DxO PureRAW wins the EISA 2021-2022 Award

DxO appears to be making something of a habit of winning awards. In recent years we’ve already seen them win awards for their Nik Collection 3 and excellent PhotoLab 4 products. This time it’s the turn of the new DxO PureRAW software to win the EISA Advanced Photo Software Award.

The EISA jury said, “DxO PureRAW is a truly unique piece of software. You use it to pre-treat your images before importing them into Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop or any other photo software that supports the Linear DNG raw format. This allows you to benefit from DxO’s superior demosaicing algorithms, lens corrections, noise reduction and image sharpening, all without sliders or complex adjustments and without any need to master a new interface. You just get better images without changing much of your existing workflow.”

My Thoughts on DxO PureRAW

Having reviewed DxO Pure RAW myself, I must agree that the results are superb. But of equal importance is the ease of use and how simple it is to apply the software to your existing workflow. You can read my review of DxO PureRAW and watch the video of PureRAW in action on Lenscraft.

What DxO has done in creating PureRAW is to combine the most important tools controlling image quality from DxO PhotoLab, into one package. These include:

  • DxO Demosaicing
  • DeepPRIME noise reduction, and
  • DxO Lens Corrections

The result is an image saved in the DNG format which exhibits excellent technical quality. And because PureRAW uses the DNG format, it preserves the benefits of RAW editing, allowing you to use any RAW converter you choose which has DNG support.

But DxO PureRAW may not be right for everyone. If you already use DxO PhotoLab 4 Elite, you already have access to the same features and technology of PureRAW. To explain more, I published an article to help understand which package is right for you.

It’s also possible to replace DxO PureRAW in your workflow using the features of DxO PhotoLab 4 Elite. In this article I explain how to integrate PhotoLab with Lightroom it’s done.

Pricing DxO PureRAW

DxO PureRAW for Windows and macOS is now available for download on the DxO website (https://shop.dxo.com) for a special price of £79.99 instead of £115 until August 31, 2021. A free 30-day trial version is also available (https://dxo.com/dxo-pureraw/download/).

This software is well worth investigating and testing as part of your own workflow.
