Camera & Printer Profiles

This page features a number of bespoke camera colour profiles and printer profiles I have created for my cameras and printer. Feel free to download and try these out. Whilst these have improved my results I can’t promise they will be an improvement with your equipment.

Camera Colour Profiles

Camera Colour Profiles are information files that can be used by some software to translate the RAW files into images with accurate colours. This means colours such as red, green and blue will be accurately reproduced in your photographs. The Adobe RAW converters (Camera RAW and Lightroom) are the main software packages that currently provide this capability. Whilst these packages include both Adobe and manufacturer profiles, these can often be improved upon replacement profiles. Below you will find Camera Colour Profiles that I have created for a number of popular cameras. I add to this library each time I buy a new camera so the library will continue to grow over time as well as profiles shared by other photographers.

If you would like to know more about how to install and use these profiles please refer to my blog post http://thelightweightphotographer.com/2014/08/04/using-camera-colour-profiles-with-lightroom-and-camera-raw/.

IMPORTANT All profiles have been compressed to zip files and should be uncompressed prior to installation.

ICC Printer Profiles

Printer profiles instruct your printer how to render colours correctly when making prints. They are also essential to the process of Soft Proofing, allowing you to adjust your images to ensure the prints match your screen. You can learn more about soft proofing in this tutorial Soft Proofing in Lightroom and in my book Perfect Prints Every Time.

The following profiles were created for the printers that I own together with papers that I use. In some cases, the paper manufacturer doesn’t supply a profile and in others the profiles here may improve the generic profiles. Feel free to experiment with these and use them if they improve your prints.
