Welcome to the Lenscraft Newsletter March 17.
I must apologise for the lack of a newsletter in recent months. The newsletter used to go out monthly, then I switched to quarterly before going back to monthly. I’m sure this must be confusing for everyone. The problem is that I invest so much time writing books, tutorials, blogging, developing courses and publishing videos that the newsletter is pushed to the bottom of the list.
Despite this, I have plans to free up more time, which I can invest into the newsletter. In the interim, the newsletter might be a little irregular.
Mastering Your Camera Free Book Offer
I recently shared my book Mastering Your Camera as a free download, available for three days. Following this, several people contacted me saying they missed the promotion and can I provide a copy. Regretfully I can’t due to my arrangements with Amazon. I can however run the free promotion again. Be warned though, this is the last time I can run it in the near term SO DON’T MISS IT.
The book will be free in all Amazon stores on the 25th and 26th March. Make a note and be sure not to miss out. If you are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber you can borrow the book for free at any time.
The 19th April will see me present at Llandudno Photographic Society. This will be a live demonstration of my approach to image processing for Landscape Photography. It will feature several of my images in both colour and black and white. There will be some Lightroom work and lots of editing using the Nik Collection.
Interested? Then please contact the Society via their website.
Have you visited my new Lenscraft Training website yet?
At present, there are two courses (one paid and the other free) but I am working on more material. Some of these courses will compliment my books whilst others will be stand alone.
One question that’s come up a couple of times is “why do I have to register again if I am a Lenscraft member?”.
This is because Lenscraft Training is a separate site to Lenscraft, I just made it appear as if it’s part of Lenscraft. I created the separate site as Lenscraft doesn’t have the bandwidth to deliver high speed HD video. I want to ensure a great experience for everyone taking a course and this was the best option.
If you wanted to visit Lenscraft Training, use the link below and keep watching for new course launches.
Sharpening Book & Course Offers
My latest book “The Photographers Guide to Image Sharpening in Lightroom” have gone down well and I have received great feedback. Many of you are particularly impressed with the companion video course. This can be accessed free using the discount code in the book.
If you don’t want to purchase the book but are interested in the video, Lenscraft Members can purchase the course alone at an introductory 75% discount using the code LENSCRAFT-MEMBER-75.
Plans For 2017
After four years, it’s time for an overhaul of my Nik Viveza book. I have learned lots since I wrote the original book and the way I work has also developed. The new edition of the book will be a substantial re-write. It will include much new material and will increase the length of the book by at least 50%.
If you purchased the original book the revised version will be available to you FREE.
Accompanying the book, I will also be releaseing a video course. I have yet to finalise the details but I expect this to be longer and with more worked examples than the sharpening course. I will share further details closer to the release of the book.
